Hosted in Aberdeen, this year’s conference brings together carefully curated sessions and expert perspectives to help professionals across the sector discover, develop and put their purpose into action during a time of unprecedented change and opportunity.
This year, we’re moving the conversation beyond discussion and into practical action. Whether you’re taking your first steps, developing leadership skills, or exploring new areas of the energy sector, the conference will provide inspiration, insight and actionable guidance.

Mentored Networking with Axis Network
This is a guided session designed to make connecting easier and more meaningful. Taking place during the welcome networking session, attendees will be paired with experienced mentors who provide support, coaching, and introductions throughout.
Designed to help overcome common networking barriers, the session creates a more inclusive and supportive environment, ensuring everyone can build valuable connections.

Emma Bejhat
AXIS Chair & Technical Sales Manager, Wood
Emma is the Chair of the AXIS network, a gender equity Charity focused on the Energy Industry. This position is voluntary and involves setting AXIS Network strategy and overseeing activities to drive change within the industry.
Alongside this role, Emma is the Technical Sales Manager at Wood, where her focus is on the commercialisation of Wood’s digital products. As a working mother, of mixed race origin, Emma feels passionately about Equality and creating workplaces where everyone feels welcome and included.
Sam Robertson
Project Manager, ASCO & Account Manager and Volunteer, AXIS
Sam is a Senior Project Manager at ASCO Group, with 13+ years of experience managing Group Projects and Operational teams in the Energy industry.
Alongside her "day job", Sam juggles life as a busy mum to two young sons, is a passionate volunteer and Account Manager for the AXIS Network group advocating for Gender Equity in the Energy Industry, and running a private catering business with her husband.
Denis Pinto
Managing Director, Owner, Trustee & AXIS Volunteer
Denis is a consultant with formerly 22 years’ experience at BP with extensive commercial and engineering skills in flow measurement and hydrocarbon allocation often considered as a subject matter expert on these topics.
Denis was Chairman of the EI Aberdeen Highlands & Islands Branch from 2003 to 2011 and has been an active volunteer on many activities ever since often as the Chair, Vice Chair or initiative lead.
He is also helping new low carbon business start-ups some via Net Zero Technology Centre
Of significant note are Denis’s voluntary achievements as:-
- EI AHI Branch’s Youth Champion and his role as an EI Council Member which included helping develop young members in all UK and International Branches. This was done by establishing the first branch of the EI Young Professionals Network (EI YPN back in April 2011. He then used this in the preparation of a relevant set of guidelines of how this can be achieved in practice in other parts of the UK and overseas based on his success at the local level.
- In addition to his “day job” and his work for the EI Denis finds time to serve on the Advisory Board of the Association of Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK). He was actively involved with setting up their Scottish Branch in 2012. He has been involved with helping them organise their events in particular their mentorship scheme and was an active member of the AFBElive! Conference Planning team since Oct 2020.
- He is also a board member of the Diversity & Inclusion, AXIS Network Aberdeen since 2017, where is he is involved with their mentoring scheme.
- He is Area Leader for NE Scotland for the Federation of Small Businesses.
- Denis has also been instrumental in the Scottish Universities “Best O&G MSc Project” competition for many years and is a mentor to many students and young professionals, all voluntary.
- He is also a Trustee of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation since January 2021
- He is also Trust Director for Aberdeen City Heritage Trust
- He is also Chair of Energy Institute Hydrocarbon Management Committee HMC1 (Upstream Measurements) and member of API Standards Workgroup
Stacey Will
Founder, Personal Growth Collective & AXIS Volunteer
Stacey Will is the founder of The Personal Growth Collective and a learning and development practitioner with over 15 years of experience in leadership development, culture change and talent management. She works with organisations to create environments where people can do their best work by building cultures grounded in belonging, trust and strengths-based leadership.
Stacey’s work helps leaders develop the confidence, self-awareness and behaviours needed to create workplaces where both people and performance can thrive.
Stacey lives in Aberdeen her partner and their blended family of four children, whose personalities, social lives and activities keep her on her toes!
Rachael McKay
Founder of Seascape Coaching & AXIS Mentor
Rachel Mackay is the founder of Seascape Coaching Limited. She is an accredited career transition coach and NLP Practitioner. With over 25 years of experience gained from leading local and global teams in the pharmaceutical industry, in R&D, commercial manufacturing and central teams. She works with quiet leaders as they identify their skills, strengths and values to further develop their career.
Rachel is a mentor with the Axis Network Aberdeen, and leads the annual voluntary mentoring program. She also mentors coaches in training with the Coaching Academy.
